Journey To Esthar

so i was busy replaying final fantasy viii a few months ago, and i was especially struck by the part where squall carries rinoa across the horizon bridge to esthar. i'm such a sap!

this has been waiting for me to finish it for a couple of months at least. i had mostly finished the coloring job, but then i just left it. lost inspiration i guess. so yeah, the original sketch is the lineart, and the rest is a speedy paint job. especially the clouds. i just can't get myself to spend as much time as i should on clouds.
